UTBA SUMMER APIARY TOURS: 

Toronto Apiary Tour: 
This popular event has now passed. Thank you to everyone who came out and visited Heiwa Honey, U of T B.E.E.S, Fort York, Humber College, The Humber Arboretum and Alin Dumitrescu. The tour was a delight to take part in thanks to all the passionate people who participated. We hope to offer more tours in the future for our members.

Tours will take a full day, weather permitting. Please bring a packed lunch for a quick picnic stop on route. We will arrange carpooling to limit the number of vehicles arriving at each apiary. Tours will be limited to 15 people so RSVP promptly after receiving your detailed email.

UTBA SUMMER APIARY TOURS

Out-of-Town Apiary Tour: 
All members are invited to register for the UTBA’s out-of-town apiary tour, to be held on Sunday August 12th. This tour was originally planned for July 21st, but was postponed due to scheduling problems. The tour involves visits to three apiaries: Szabo Queens, owned by Tibor Szabo, third-generation beekeeper and Past President of the OBA; Humble Bee, run by Dan Douma and Luc Peters; and an OBA Tech Transfer apiary, where we will be met by Dan Borges from the Tech Transfer team. Members should have received an email July 31st with details to register.
